Welcome to another edition of Committee Corner... and welcome to the introduction of another one of your committee members.
Just in case there is anyone out there that doesn't know me, or hasn't yet experienced my twisted sense of humour, I'm Chris. I have been competing in agility for 10 years now, and judging for just over 7. I started agility because I wanted to do something with my dog, and he seemed to like running around like a lunatic, jumping over things, and doing pretty much anything that meant he got to play with his toy... so agility seemed like a great option... and probably just like most of you out there, I got hooked... jump forward 10 years and I have 5 dogs, I'm a Senior Judge, President of my club, and the Secretary of the AC... they say time flies when you're having fun, so given how quickly this year seems to be going, I must been having a right old party... we are less than 6 months away from NZDAC... which by the way, if you weren't planning on going this year, you really should... they have invited a really awesome judge from Auckland this year.
This is my 2nd term on the AC, and I am pleased to once again be involved in better our sport for everyone. After our last AC meeting, I went away feeling confident that we are on the right track in doing that. Part of what we are trying to achieve this term is better communication with the agility community, and already I have had some really good conversations with some of you, so keep that up... If you see me at a show, feel free to come and say hi (I don't generally bite), and have a chat about what's going on.
Cheers, Chris
